Ooty is one of the most beautiful hill stations one can visit specially in the southern part of India. It is situated near Coimbatore and is around 100kms by road from Coimbatore.
Ooty has many places to visit. I am dividing these places based on the routes on which those places fall.
Central Ooty
The central part of the Ooty has many places to visit. This is the most visited part of Ooty and it is the least interesting in my opinion. The places which we can visit here are –
- Doddabetta Peak.
- Ooty Lake.
- Botanical Garden.
- Rose Garden.
- Tea Garden.
- Tea and Chocolate Factory.
Coonoor
Coonoor is 20kms away from Ooty but it is one of the most beautiful places in any hill station one could find. It has very limited tourist spots but the views which one would come across are amazing. One can visit these though –
- Sims Park.
- Lamb’s Rock.
- Dolphin’s Nose.
Pykara
Pykara is about 24kms away from central Ooty but it is one of the most beautiful places to visit as the route has tourist spots one after another. These spots are –
- Pine Forest.
- Wenlockdowns Nature Trail.
- Tree House.
- Pykara Waterfall.
- Pykara Lake.
